Acer Liquid Jade Primo Demonstrates Trend of Business Phones to Replace your PC

Acer Liquid Jade Primo Demonstrates Trend of Business Phones to Replace your PC

As phablets look to replace PCs altogether, cost is becoming a barrier for small businesses with limited budgets. The Acer Liquid Jade Primo is a more affordable option than the HP Elite x3, which has powerful features but comes in at $800. However, the Jade Primo doesn't sacrifice on the specs and it has features that more than meet the use cases for small business.

Remote work and collaboration has changed how we do business and interact with each other. And as mobile devices continue to get more powerful questions arise about whether laptops remain necessary. The Jade Primo is part of a new slate of phablets that may answer that question for some.

For small business owners, it means supplying their workforce with affordable devices that have all the features they need. The Acer phablet has some premium hardware and utilities designed to more efficiently use the device in and out of the office.

A Look at the Acer Liquid Jade Primo

At $449, Acer delivers the Jade Primo as a Windows 10 Mobile device with the much touted Microsoft Continuum application. You will get a 5.5″ AMOLED full HD display, 21MP main and 8MP front facing cameras, Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 (MSM8992) Hexa Core Processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage with up to 128GB on microSD, and a 2870 mAh non-replaceable Li-polymer battery.

You also get a dock with two USB 2.0 ports, a USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI connection, keyboard and mouse. The dock lets you attach a monitor and other peripherals so you can turn the phablet into a desktop.

With the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) you can use Word, PowerPoint, and Calendar via Continuum. You can work no matter where you are using these and other apps, and connect to the peripherals to work like a desktop and finish your task when you get home or to the office.
