Sniffing Out the Problem with Your Business Expenses

Who or Whom Business Cartoon

OK, this is a pretty simple cartoon. You take “I smell a rat,” apply it to anthropomorphic rats, and put it all in a meeting with a graph. Done and done.

The tricky part of this, I'm ashamed to say, was looking up “who” vs. “whom” and figuring out which to use in the caption.

My wife was an English minor, and she's generally my go-to for proofreading, but for whatever reason, this question had me feeling a bit sheepish and I tried to figure it out myself.

Is “whom” correct? Should I have used “who” instead? Should either choice have been in italics? Let me know what you think …
